CAN'T RUN THAT PRIZED LOCO AT HOME?

Many of our members use SJV tools and work areas for club projects. But, any member can use these facilities for home projects as well. Building a structure for your home layout? Bring it down on a Wednesday or Friday to build at the club! Got a troublesome decoder? Test it at the club, and get help and advice from our DCC Gurus! Let's make maximum use of our club facilities for our overall hobby satisfaction. 6/10/05 ldh

Club News

Jim Chamberlin

It is with deep sorrow that we must announce the passing of longtime club member Jim Chamberlin on August 12th, 2008.

Jim was a member of our club twice. Once in the 1970's before moving to the east coast for work, and then again from 2002 until his passing. Jim built many of the bridges on our layout and was instrumental in the building of both our main helix and our passenger terminal.

Jim, thanks for the memories, you will be missed.

Rolling Stock

As we run more and more and have more and more switching opportunities come on line we will need more and more rolling stock and locomotives to run with. If you have any rolling stock that you would like to run during our formal operations, bring it down to the club to have it inspected and put on the rails. Remember, the rolling stock still belongs to you, we as a club are just "borrowing" it for the run sessions. This is a good way for the arm chair modelers to see the fruits of your labors run.

Operations

We are getting close to being back in full operations after the rebuild by Biltzdale. Jason P hopes to have an Ops Session in January. To do this, there are still some things that need to be touched up. Please stop down to the club to help out.
